FOTA originally came from our first name for the band. "Flight Of The Apache", named after this Vox guitar I picked up in a music store in Orange County. On the headstock it said, "Apache" with a little airplane in front of the word. The guitar also had an on-board amp with speakers and bulit-in drum machine, we could play anywhere, so "Flight Of The Apache" rolled right off the tongue. So FOTA became the nickname of the band. When we moved to Arizona, we realized our name might be confusing, considering that Arizona is home to the Apache tribe. We still liked FOTA as our nickname so we came up with a suitable replacement using the same acronym, Found Our Truth Alone. We still used "Flight Of The Apache" as the name of our first EP. Are you starting to see a pattern?
Currently the band members are Jason Fisch (guitar, vocals), Kris Stewart (bass) Val Fisch (lead vocals). Jason and Val are husband and wife and have been married for over 20 years. Kris is our brother from another mother and we've all known each other for 20+ years. Some of the music and lyrics are from our high school days and beyond, finally brought to fruition with this project. Most of the music was created after we discovered the 432hz frequency. After that it felt like a floodgate opened up, lyrics and music were flowing like never before. Ever since, we have not stopped trying to create fun songs that we love to play that speak the truth.
